"The Four Seasons arranged for us to have a tour of all of the essential monuments, the bazaar, and high quality shopping with an incredibly talented, knowledgeable, and ethical young woman named Ulku. Ulku was unwavering with her patience and went above and beyond with her service. She gave us complete flexibility in the itinerary, pointed us the in the right direction, and was incredibly knowledgeable. We also were very excited about shopping. She showed us the highest quality and most ethical shops where we knew that we were getting the most value and the absolute best. Her service didn’t end at the conclusion of our tour. She facilitated making sure that the goods we purchased made their way back to the Four Seasons. She even helped us to negotiate a purchase after we left the shop and returned the next day. And most importantly, one of our items did not arrive back in the US and she went to the shop personally to investigate. We have never had such service in any of our international travels. "Last week, my wife and I were able to spend a few days in beautiful Istanbul. Not knowing the city and wanting to see as much as possible, we hired a professional tour guide: ülkü şimşek (info@freespiritstravel.com) Ülkü was brilliant!! As she had studied both ancient history and travel and tourism at University, she was able to give us an in-depth view of the history as well as local culture and customs. Having a professional guide, meant that we could get straight into the sites, avoid big queues and meet some of the genuine local people, for example in the Grand Bazaar,We were able to see the main attractions, learning the history as well as visit areas off the beaten track. We were also able to taste the local Turkish sweet tea, the strong coffee and of course a local favorite the fermented drink boza. She also helped us to take a local ferry down the Bosphorus on a 2 hr trip, avoiding one of the more busy organized trips. It was a perfect trip. Thanks again ülkü for everything."
